RMA promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, RMA has 1,600 institutional members that include banks of all sizes as well as nonbank financial institutions. They are represented in the Association by 31,000 individuals located throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia/Pacific.

About the Chapter

The New Orleans Chapter, like all RMA chapters, is organized and run by volunteer members. We strongly encourage current or prospective members to become involved in shaping the future direction of the chapter by contacting any of the current officers or committee chairs. We would also be happy to discuss the many benefits that can be derived from membership in RMA.

Revitalizing the RMA New Orleans Chapter

The RMA New Orleans Chapter Update
I am pleased to announce the addition of Brigitte Rener, Shelley Frey and Jori Hawkins of Fidelity Bank as
new Board members for the New Orleans Chapter. They are great additions to our Board and the New
Orleans Chapter has already seen the impact of their being on the Board through their suggestions and
participation in Board meetings.

Thus far in the 2023 – 2024 fiscal year, the New Orleans Chapter has provided the following for our
members:

CAMELS Ratings in Commercial Banking – Thanks to the Dustin Martin of the Gulf Coast

celebrated the holidays.

I would like to note that, in order to grow the overall membership of RMA and to make students aware
of RMA and RMA Scholarship opportunities, David Burrell and I visited Southern University in Baton
Rouge. Our hope is to visit other universities including those that are in New Orleans. Thanks to David
Burrell, the New Orleans Chapter Academic chair for his efforts.

Upcoming scheduled events include the following educational offerings:
