About RMA

Founded in 1914, The Risk Management Association (RMA) is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association, whose sole purpose is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry. RMA promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, RMA has approximately 1,900 institutional members that include banks of all sizes as well as nonbank financial institutions. They are represented in the association by 18,500 risk management professionals who are chapter members in financial centers throughout North America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific.

About the Chapter

The Central Utah Chapter, like all RMA chapters, is organized and run by volunteer members. We strongly encourage current or prospective members to become involved in shaping the future direction of the chapter by contacting any of the current officers or committee chairs. We would also be happy to discuss the many benefits that can be derived from membership in RMA.

RMA Announcements

RMA Annual Conference
The Annual Risk Management Conference is RMA’s flagship event that brings together financial risk professionals across all lines of defense from various sizes of institutions across the country. There is something for everyone – countless opportunities to share best practices, hear from industry leaders on hot topics, and chat with peers to build an engaging network.

This year, the event will be held virtually, but you will have all of the same opportunities to connect with other professionals, share your experiences, and hear from top leaders in the banking industry – all from your office. The lineup this year is top-notch, with keynote addresses from Doris Kearns Goodwin, presidential historian, Carl Tannenbaum, Chief Economist at The Northern Trust, and Malcolm Griggs, Chief Risk Officer at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. With tracks for credit risk, current & emerging risks, enterprise & operational risk, workplace issues, and internal audit, there is truly something for all financial risk professionals.
