Please join the RMA East Central PA Chapter as we welcome Mr. Ryotaro “Ryo” Tashiro, a Senior Outreach Economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Mr. Tashiro will discuss the current economic outlook and business trends.
As a senior outreach economist, Ryo Tashiro is responsible for conducting research on current regional economic issues of the Federal Reserve’s Third District and informing external audiences on national and regional economic conditions, monetary policy, and the role of the Federal Reserve in the economy.
Prior to joining the Bank in June of 2016, Ryo was a business analyst at Bloomberg, where he was responsible for conducting research on issues related to equity data quality. He also has substantial teaching experience, ranging from high school AP Economics to Intermediate Japanese and Intermediate Spanish at the college level.
Ryo has a master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Kenyon College.
