Zach Mayo

East Coast Regional Manager, Market Executive

City National Bank – Commercial Banking 

Zach Mayo manages the East Coast commercial banking region with City National Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of RBC. Based out of the bank’s Park Avenue office, Mr. Mayo leads teams of commercial bankers, delivering City National’s customized financial solutions to businesses in the Eastern corridor, from Maine to Virginia including hubs in New York Metro, Greater Washington D.C. and New England. 

Mr. Mayo has more than 35 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining City National, he served as a managing director and executive vice president with Citibank’s commercial banking division in New York. He was responsible for the national middle-market business with commercial offices throughout the U.S.  

Mr. Mayo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and his master’s from New York University. He is a member of numerous boards and has been honored by such organizations as Big Brothers Big Sisters of America; the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center and the Community Development Corp. of New York.

Daniel Liberty

Sr. Vice President & Commercial Banking Senior Managing Director

Sterling National Bank 

Based out of the Bank’s Jericho, N.Y. Regional Headquarters, Mr. Liberty leads a group of commercial bankers, delivering Sterling National Bank’s customized financial solutions to middle market businesses located primarily in the Tri- State area, with the ability to market select opportunities in expanded geographies throughout the Mid-Atlantic and New England markets. 

Mr. Liberty has more than 35 years of commercial banking experience. Prior to joining Sterling in 2017, he served 14 years as Regional Vice President & Group Manager with M&T Bank’s Middle Market Banking Division on Long Island.  Prior to that, Mr. Liberty held various management positions at Key Bank and its successors Institutions on Long Island. 

Mr. Liberty earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He is a member of numerous boards and has been honored by such organizations as Transitional Services of New York for Long Island, Central Nassau Guidance & Counseling Services, North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center, UCP of Long Island, and Three Village Youth Basketball.

Leonard Mortimore

Corporate Regional Executive – Downstate

In 2020, Leonard “Lenny” Mortimore relocated back to the US from a successful international assignment to take on the role of Regional Executive for the Downstate Region in US Corporate Banking covering NYC, Long Island, Westchester and Connecticut.  In this role, Lenny leads a large team of bankers who assist US multinational clients with their US and international banking needs.  Lenny’s RM team has developed and strengthened HSBC’s coverage for a broad group of multinational clients in the New York City metro area. He and his team are responsible for delivering the full strength bandwidth of the Bank’s products and services. As part of his role, Lenny is also responsible for ensuring close collaboration amongst our banking and product groups, in order to leverage HSBC’s global footprint for our international clients. 

Prior to his current role Lenny was on a three-year assignment in Toronto, Canada as the Country Head of International Subsidiary Banking Coverage (ISB). Lenny holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Union College and joined HSBC Group in 2000. 

Lenny began his career in upstate New York at HSBC Bank USA, as part of the bank’s RBWM business before being recruited into the Leadership Development Program. He relocated to New York City in 2002 and has held various roles in Commercial Banking including Senior Vice President, as well as US Co-Head of International Subsidiary Banking (ISB). 

Lenny currently lives in Montclair, NJ with his wife Julia and two children, Sophia (9) and Sebastian (6). 

Stu Lubow

President & COO

Dime Community Bank 

Mr. Lubow has been a successful banking executive for over 40 years. He is currently President & COO at Dime Community Bank, a $13.0 billion Community Commercial Bank headquartered in Long Island. Prior to joining Dime, Stu was Founder, Chairman, President and CEO of Community National Bank.

Mr. Lubow has chaired and participated in many conferences on banking-related topics at both regional and national levels. Additionally, he has served as an instructor at the New York University School of Continuing Education. He is involved in a number of not-for-profit organizations, including The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. He is past president of the Community Bankers Association in New Jersey and the NY Bankers Association. 

Mr. Lubow is a graduate of Moravian College (’79), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He currently resides in Mill Neck, New York with his wife Donna and daughter Sarah.
