Our Distinguished Panelists:

Kurt Raney

Kurt Raney has been with the OCC for 38 years.  He is currently an Assistant Deputy Comptroller in the Denver Field Office with supervisory responsibility for banks in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada and Nebraska.  Kurt began his career in Bismarck, North Dakota in 1985 and subsequently spent 14 years in the Minneapolis Field Office examining community, regional and large banks.  After moving to Denver in 2004, Kurt held several district office positions before assuming his current duties in 2014.  In addition to his current supervisory responsibilities, Kurt has been a speaker at numerous OCC banker outreach sessions and has developed and delivered multiple credit training sessions for the OCC.

Kerri Koral

Kerri has been with the Federal Reserve for ten years.  She is currently a Manager at the Denver Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City (FRB KC) and is focused on the supervision of Community Bank Organizations in Colorado, Wyoming, and northern New Mexico.  Kerri’s primary responsibilities include oversight of Denver’s safety and soundness examiner training program and the coordination of FRB KC’s annual Banking & Supervision Forum events.  Kerri holds a B.S.B.A. degree in Finance from The University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received her Examiner Commissioning in 2019.

Jeff McDonald

Jeff McDonald has nearly 32 of regulatory banking experience with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).  Since 2017, he has been the Field Supervisor for Risk Management Supervision (RMS) in the Denver Field Territory, which encompasses both Colorado and New Mexico.  Previously, Jeff served for over twelve years as the Field Supervisor in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa Field Office, after completing stints as an examiner in Springfield, Missouri, and Denver, Colorado.  Mr. McDonald holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, and he graduated with Special Honors from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado in Boulder in 2003.
