The RMA Rocky Mountain Chapter is pleased to invite you to our VIRTUAL ZOOM Senior Credit Officer's Roundtable on Wednesday, October 27th.  This event will provide a forum for Senior Credit Officers from member banks to discuss their perspectives on managing risk in a post-pandemic environment.

Presenters:

Rachel Gerlach
Rachel Gerlach has served as Chief Operations Officer for Alpine Bank since 2017 and in several positions of increasing responsibility for the bank since 1997.  She begins a new role as Chief Credit Officer in 2021.

She is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of University of Denver, with a B.S.B.A. in International Business and a minor in Management. Ms. Gerlach also completed the three-year intensive graduate banking school at Louisiana State University, as well as the Commercial Lending School at Southern Methodist University.

While she has served in leadership roles for a dozen community, municipal and business organizations, she has a special passion for the 4-H program, which she credits as formative for her in the areas of leadership, responsibility and sportsmanship.

Gerlach likes to go on rock hunts and bike rides with her son and daughter. She is also an avid snowmobiler.

Kelly Scott
Kelly M. Carr is the Relationship Manager for all financial institutions from $2B-$30B in the Central U.S. at The Risk Management Association (RMA). She has been with the organization since 2015 serving in the RM role over various territories including the West and Western Canada. In the 10 years prior to joining RMA, Carr held various banking positions, including vice president, private banker; vice president, large exposure commercial real estate special accounts officer; commercial real estate analyst all at BMO Harris Bank and M&I in Florida and Wisconsin; and commercial real estate portfolio specialist after having gone through a 12 month credit training program at SunTrust Banks (now Truist).

As a banker, she also served in various roles for the local RMA Chapters in Sarasota, FL and Milwaukee, WI including chapter vice president, communications officer, and secretary.

Carr graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing and from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Diana Banks
Diana Banks has worked banking and finance for 40+ years in commercial lending positions for commercial banks, non-bank lenders, life insurance companies, pension funds, and venture capital companies.  A quarter of her career (10+ years) was focused on special assets and problem loan resolution.  For the past 11 years, Diana has been the Manager of ANB Bank’s Credit Risk Review Department, seeking out risk in the bank’s loan portfolio and participating in due diligence efforts for bank acquisitions.

Mark R. Armstrong
Mr. Armstrong is a Senior Portfolio Manager in Commercial Banking responsible for leading PM teams in Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. The team focuses on providing credit product solutions to Commercial & Industry companies with revenues primarily between $25 million and $1 billion. Mark’s regional team of 15 manages approximately $4BN in loan commitments and 200 clients. 

Mark has served the C&I Banking Sector since 2005 with roles including regional SPM (CO, UT, AZ), Portfolio Management Team Lead (CO), Portfolio Manager (CO), Sr. Portfolio Manager (Western U.S.), Relationship Manager (AZ), Assistant Relationship Manager (AZ). He earned an MBA from the University of South Dakota, bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting from Iowa State University and has completed multiple leadership certificates.

He is focused on service to fellow Bankers and the Community via current and past board involvement with the Colorado Mountain Club (Treasurer), U.S. Bank Development Network, Risk Management Association, Friends of Saguaro National Park, Rotary, Tucson Chamber of Commerce.

Mark resides in Denver, CO with his wife, 13-year-old daughter, 11-year-old son, and two Newfoundland dogs. He enjoys skiing, hiking Colorado’s high peaks, mountain biking, fly fishing, golfing, and guiding trips with the Colorado Mountain Club.
