Meet Our New Board Members

|
Marshall Heaney
Marshall is a Director with Alvarez & Marsal Canada Securities with more than 7 years of corporate finance experience. Marshall has been involved in a variety of mandates advising management teams, corporate boards, private equity and lenders on a variety of mandates including capital raises, refinancing transactions, recapitalizations and mergers & acquisitions. He has experience serving clients across numerous industries including upstream oil & gas, oilfield services, infrastructure, power, manufacturing and financial services.

Ali Rehan
Ali is a Chartered Financial Analyst with over 6 years of international experience in FP&A and Structured Finance. He has had the opportunity to see transactions from both banking and industry sides. He has also been involved with research in the field and co-authored a published research paper in a reputable international journal. Ali is originally from Pakistan and moved to Canada in 2023. He joined CIBC as an Associate in the Commercial Banking group and is currently working as a Senior Associate supporting with underwriting mid-market and syndicated files.

Claudia Honetschlaeger
Claudia is an Associate in the Banking & Finance group of the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Calgary office. She has a broad practice with experience in all facets of banking and finance transactions, as well as commercial transactions. Claudia has experience working on both domestic and international bilateral and syndicated financings representing agents, lenders and borrowers, leasing and financings, merger and acquisition transactions and corporate reorganizations, as well as general corporate and commercial matters.

Cam Bowal
Cam is MNP’s Director, Business Development in the Calgary region. With a proven track record of creating value for the firm’s existing clients through his experiences, networks, and connections, Cam seeks opportunities to help create value for new clients as well. With more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate governance, management and financial reporting, Cam has held several executive roles in both private and public companies.

REIGNITING THE EDMONTON CHAPTER
Thomas Braeuer
Thomas is a Business Development Manager at Convera, specializing in foreign exchange and regulatory-aligned risk management solutions. Based in Edmonton, he advises corporations on strategies that strengthen compliance, governance, and financial resilience. His aim is to bridge commercial objectives with tailored, holistic solutions to enable transparent, efficient, and compliant cross-border operations. By joining the board Thomas is taking the task to rebuild the Edmonton Chapter to drive growth and opportunities in the market.
